After a relentless summer, the much-awaited southwest monsoon has finally embraced Jharkhand. As per the latest weather reports, the monsoon made its gracious entry through Pakur and Sahibganj in the Santhal Pargana region, gradually spreading across the state. The showers have brought much-needed relief to residents battling scorching temperatures and high humidity.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather warnings across Jharkhand:

  • 🔶 Yellow Alert: Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Latehar, and Koderma
  • 🔴 Red Alert: Dhanbad, Dumka, Jamtara, Bokaro, and Ramgarh due to predicted heavy rainfall

Public Advisory:

During a walk amid the rain-drenched streets, I witnessed a powerful moment—a thela-wala, soaked and shivering, pulling his loaded cart uphill. Rain mixed with sweat, his face was etched with quiet determination.

As a storyteller and photographer, I felt compelled to capture this scene. It wasn’t just an image—it was a reflection of resilience, a tribute to the working class who keep moving, rain or shine.
