Betla National Park: A Wildlife
Photographer's Paradise
Long ago, while covering a story in
Daltonganj, Palamu district, Jharkhand, I stumbled upon a hidden gem: Betla
National Park. Its tranquil beauty, teeming with panthers, leopards, deer, and
more, captivated me instantly. With a little persuasion, my office granted me
an extension to explore this wildlife haven.
A treehouse stay offered an
unparalleled vantage point to witness the magic of the jungle unfold. I spent
countless hours capturing stunning photographs of these creatures in their
natural habitat. Betla is truly a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, boasting
rich flora and fauna.
Once India's first tiger reserve,
Betla is now known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants and Indian
bison. While tiger populations have dwindled, the park remains a vital
ecosystem. Its lush Sal forests, teak trees, and bamboo thickets create a
captivating ambiance.
To experience Betla's serenity, plan
your visit in advance and book a stay at the enchanting treehouse.
