Intense Heat

Intense Heat

These days all states of Northern India is reeling under intense heat, it define as rising of the temperature during summer time causing much hotter atmosphere as well as increasing the humidity. In most of the towns in Northern India temperature crossed above 50 degrees Celsius. Even the country capital of Delhi itself recorded 52.03 degrees of temperature, more than 1/2 boiling point. Denizens become roasted in this extremely severe hot situation, and many deaths reported due to this unprecedented situation. Due to this abnormal rise of temperature most of the ponds, wells, and other water bodies dried up causing double burnt to the people. In villages there are no respites from this situation but in town areas the government providing water tanks which prove meager to the society, people even in the country capital New Delhi is facing even worse situation and clashes are reported in some parts of the areas. Heat wave or Extreme heat occur when temperature rises abnormally high levels and the mixture of heat and humidity occur causing severe damage to live stock and fowls too, I am submitting the picture of a thirsty bird as an example. In some of the cities the government declared red alert and closed the school for a week at least.

Due to this abnormal situation heat related illness like heat stroke, exhaustion, and brain stroke happen when the body doesn’t get coolness properly. Although the body has the auto system by sweating itself for cooling but in excessive temperature that system fail to work and cause much damage to the body by heat stroke, damage to brain or other vital organs of the body. So it is advisable not to go out in the sun until unless it is not necessary. There are some factors which might increase the heat related illness.

1.     High levels of humidity

2.     Obesity

3.     Fever

4.     Dehydration

5.     Heart disease

6.     Mental illeness

7.     Poor circulation

8.     Sun burn

9.     Use of Alchohal

These are the places where chances of heat related disease increases.

1.     House with no cooling system

2.     Construction worksite

3.     In extreme heat condition the temperature in a car increases

Children, senior people, outside workers, people with disabilities are susceptible to this condition, so avoid going out in that situation. Keep your body hydrated by frequently gulping a glass of water or other liquids but not sugary one.

This abnormal situation of rising temperature may be the cause of natural calamity and we blame it to nature but we are also responsible for this condition to some extent by deforestation and creating jungle of concrete everywhere.
