            This hill popularly known as Morhabadi hill is just 4 Kms away from Albert Ekka Chowk in Ranchi and 300’ ft high with a long history of the revered poet Rabindra Nath Tagore, that’s why it is called Tagore hill. and sunset and also become hangouts for youngsters but before that it was an Ashram for Rabindra Nath Tagore’s elder brother Jyotindra Nath Tagore who was the guiding force of Rabindra Nath Tagore, under whose guidance talent of Rabindra Nath Tagore flowered and he become the first non European who won Nobel Prize in 1913. And even before it was a rest house. After climbing about 250 steps people reach at the top of the hill and from there bird eye view of the Ranchi is seen it comes under one of the scenic beauty of Ranchi, people gathered at the top of the hill to watch sun rise and sunset.

            As Ranchi is situated at the hight of 651 meters from the sea level so its climate is generally moderate and pleasant, it is also called a mini hill station located in Chota Nagpur Plateau and Deccan Plateau. So far Rabindra Nath Tagore is concern he was a poet, painter short story writer and Bengali musician too. His collections of “Geetanjali” are the best known book. As per Rabindra Nath Tagore dance is the best form of human body and the best work of women is dancing. Rabindra Nath Tagore whose pen name was Bhanusimha was born on 7th May 1861 and died on 7th August 1941 in Kolkata.

            At the bottom of this popular hill Ram Krishna Ashram is located which is calm and quiet place and also famous for vocational training institute named Divyayan. The splendid view of this area captivating the tourists so much so they come there attracted. Anyone can be reached at this area by hiring taxies, auto rickshaws by hiring them from any place of Ranchi; it is about 7 Kms from Khadgara Bus stand, about 9 Kms from Ranchi Railway station and about 15 Kms away from Birsa Munda Airport and lot of accommodations from budgetary to 5 stars are available.
