Sun and Jetliner

                                  Sun and Jetliner

Being a visual media person and a wonderer I got chances to travel at many places in India as well as abroad. In this way once I was in Digha a very beautiful, calm and quiet place and most popular sea resort and tourist spot, but not so on national or international radar, I just heard about Digha sea beach, so once I made programmed to visit that place. Then after charting out the route one fine day I reached Digha a small town about 187 Kms south west from Kolkata which is also called “Brighton of the East” where luckily I got an accommodation near the beach. The meal which served before me whom I relished most rices with Dal, fried potatoes, fish curry, and begun bhaja a typical meal of Bengal’s tinge. As I was on leave so my only job was to grab sumptuous meals, sleep and move around the beaches.

Beach was very nice with low gradient, shallow sand beach with gentle waves which was about 7 Kms in length. It is the best holiday destination for family and friends. While moving around about 2 Kms on the beach there is a fish market, where I saw tons of fishes of different verities especially Tiger prawns, Hilsa arrived by trawlers and off loaded  and from there the men use to pick them and sell them to retailers as well as to the whole sellers.

In the evening the beach turned into festive like scenario lot of preparations of fishes of different verities were selling with other eatries. The beach turned into amusements park, people and children enjoying the festive atmosphere. In this way one fine morning while I was taking morning stroll near the beach then suddenly my eyes attracted towards a unique combination of the rising sun and above that a jetliner is flying. So this phenomenal scenario attracted me a lot as I said earlier to that I always carry my camera and luckily got some unique natural phenomenal shots, so that time I had my Nikon 100 with short zoom analogue camera with me. So by that camera which had some limitations for the frames, I well composed the frame with people paying oblations in the foreground the sea, sun and the streak of the jetliner for which I waited for the jetliner to cross over the sun and shot the burning effect of the streak of the jetliner. That unique combination of nature and my this single shot made my frame a complete telling frame.

The best season to visit Digha is October to Februray when the season is dried. Some people enjoy rainy season for enjoyment.
