                                Kiama Blow Hole

                    While sojourning in Sydney with my family a programme was set to visit Kiama a beautiful seaside town on the NSW South Coast, is about 3 hrs drive from Sydney, famous for Blow Hole, so one day we hit the road for the same, while on way we crossed through deep jungle met with hailstorm, I was scared a little bit but also enjoying the drive. Sunny was on the wheel as he resides there since long so he was knowing all the tricks of driving on Australian highways. So far driving is concern that country is very tough regarding its rules. Highway speed set at 110 Kms/ hr and speed camera and other traffic signals are fitted all over, so flouting it will may fetch you great wrath sometimes.

               By 10 O’clock we reached there a small but beautiful suburb full of colorful flowers all over is famous for Blow Hole, so it is called “Kiama Blow Hole” the place was teeming with tourists all over and eateries joints of different kinds were available. At first it was decided to see the blow hole, so we went towards sea side and became thrilled to see the nature’s charismatic volcanic act. I just put out my camera and kept it on high servo and shot blowing of water through rough rocky terrain. This process of nature is also called marine geyser, is formed as sea caves grow landward and upward into vertical shafts and exposed towards the surface which can result in hydraulic compression of sea water resulting throwing away the water high up in the air. It is continuous process which is attracting the tourist’s from far off places. It was a great thrilling geological scene worth watching.

            Kiama blow hole firstly sighted and recorded by George Bass, when he anchored his boat near the place called Kiama Harbour in 1797. (From achieves).
