Ghaghari Dham Waterfalls

Ghaghari Dham Waterfalls

One fine morning a programmed was set to visit Ghaghari Dham waterfalls  by the JPA (Jharkhand Photographic Association) on the occasion of  World Photography Day. So it was an outing as well as photo walk. Ghaghari  is about 50 Kms south of Ranchi. It falls under Lapung Block, with its headquarter in Ranchi. From state capital Ranchi one has to go to Bedo which is famous for great vegetable market and from there 16 Kms road goes to deep into the jungle to reach Ghaghari which is famous for Shiva temple and Sai Baba Temple. So the people gets double benefit of visiting both the temple at one goes.

First of all we went to Sai Baba temple where the atmosphere was very cool, calm and at the same time buzzing with the visitors. The whole place was surrounded by huge Sal trees, greeneries; its serenity and meadow is also a main cause of attracting tourists. After staying for about an hour at Sai Baba temple we proceeded for Ghaghari Dham temple where a huge water fall was flowing down the river making soothing noise, so lot of the young members just jumped into the waterfalls for taking bath and indulge in fun and frolics but I chose capturing the flowing of water of the falls.

As the sun was at its peak so I was facing in photographing the flow of the waterfall, so I waited for the sun to recede in the mean time the food was ready, as the place called Ghaghari Dham so there was a Shiva ji temple and Sai Baba temples made the place very pious and religious, so the meal was vegan but delicious. By 4:30 PM, I saw that the harshness of the sun had gone and then I started shooting the falls and its flowing water keeping the temple in the backdrop. Hope that my friends and followers will like the photos.

There are lot of hotels with good accommodations are available in Ranchi.

For reaching there lot of cabs and share buses are available in Ranchi.
